Critical shortages of industrial land in the region has been identified as a major threat to our economic future by the Port of Vancouver amongst others. Since its inception, increasing the availability of industrial lands has been a priority for SCDC. Through its development activity in Campbell heights North and East, SCDC has paved the way for the expansion of high-quality industrial lands that have set new standards in environmental stewardship. The economic importance of this development to both the City and the region as a whole cannot be overstated. This development work has meaningfully grown Surrey’s industrial tax base and supported the growth of well-paid jobs for its citizens.
