The Brooksdale site is a 58.5 acre property that SCDC has been holding with the plan to eventually developing it in a way that is compatible with its highly sensitive ecology. Presently in the Agricultural Land Reserve, with the neighbouring A Rocha organization farming a portion of the property, the City is working with Metro on the required approvals so that development can proceed. 

In addition to supporting A Rocha’s farming efforts, SCDC has been facilitating short-term revenue opportunities through rentals to the film industry and is monitoring ongoing progress on the South Campbell Heights Land Use Plan. It is anticipated that the City will be advancing the application process with Metro Vancouver in the near future.
